MPC 1000 plus Denon DPDJ151 digital out turntable

so hopefully I should be getting my MPC 1000 tommorow...bought it on Ebay on the 17 of this month, paid on the 18th via paypal and am still waiting....anyone here live in Arizona and want to talk to the dude I bought from for me?

anyway, I should get my money back in the least, so I'm not too worried it's just frustrating to wait THAT long for it

Soooo....that's the background to why I'm here, now I'm wondering if this Denon would be a good addition to the equipment cause I could keep the samples digital...now I know about analog warmth etc. which is why I ask, what'dya think about it? go for it, or stick with a 1200? thanks! I've been lurking for some time, I'll post back once I get my 1000...SQUALLAY!

no, I requested 2-3 day priority instead of UPS, cause UPS blows and takes too long, but now I would have preferred UPS since I didn't mention to get delivery confirmation, but ASSumed he would since it's only 50 cents more.

I think he's either lieing about when he sent it, or how he sent it, we'll see if it comes in tommorow...if it's not in by Wednesday I'm pulling a "Punch Drunk Love" and driving down to AZ to talk to dude

About the Denon. Are you also scratching? If not, I say it's a good buy. (Don't know the price.) Stanton also has the Str8-80 table that has line/phono/digital out. It's $200. Great for getting your stuff into computer or the 1k. I prefer to sample them cleam and ditry them up afterward because that's reversible.

about a month, i bought an MPC2000xl off ebay. not to give ebay a bad name, its the people who use ebay that are ass-holes.

anyways, i sent him a Money Order the day of winning, i got it with a tracking # so I KNOW when it arrived at his house in texas. a week passed, AFTER he recieved the payment and cashed it... no mpc shipping tracking #. no MPC., 2 weeks passed, no MPC or tracking number and the user didn't respond to email or instant messages via MSN. i was so vexed. the whole time i was worried about it, the wait is the killer part, the not amount of money, its the friggen wait.

anyways i keep re-assuring my self "oh he has GREAT feedback, and delt with this stuff beofre with no problems" (looked as his item listing history)

then i thought maybe i just thought the process was faster than it really is, liek an assumption, i was a new user and wasn't familiar with how ebay exactly worked.

oh well, basicly hes no longer a registered user with ebay, and i have my money back now.

so it all worked out, and even better, i went to a local store, bought a 1000 instead of the 2000xl, and the 1k is brand new, rather than a used one with no warranty.

I know it looks kind of sketchy with no pic and all, but dude sold a triton in his feedback and that's definitely why I got such a good deal..well we'll see if it turns into a good deal or no...

that's shady man never buy something from somebody who has that small numbers of feedbacks. People can make themselves look good by buying stuff or selling stupid ish. I hope you didn't but have a feeling you got had, it sucks I feel you pain I would have had an mpc alot earlier if I did't get fukked in a similar manner. Good luck hope your ish shows up. i sent him a MONEY ORDER, so i have 28 days to cancel. becasue he went to a money mart that fronted him the money untill the MO clears at the end of 18 days ( liek a holding period), i had time to cancel it. so i did. it wasn't that simple, took a lot of energy. it was a big hassle, and drained some inspiration.

i bought it from a guy who i though i could rely on, his history said that he has sold many items of greater value than that. definitly threw me in a loop
