Q-Link Slider broken?

I bought my MPC1K brand new around mid '09. My Q1 slider no longer works like its suppose too. I normally only use it to trim larger & unwanted portions of my samples but when I hold after and move move the slider it either doesn't move or highlights really slowly until it stops. The after key still lights.

My MP has been kept stationary and dust free and everything looked ok when I opened it up.
Are these symptoms of my slider going bad or is it something contact cleaner can fix?
(I'm asking because there is nowhere near here that sells the stuff so I would have to order)

my Q1 slider broke after using it a couple months.. i figured it was just wear and tear..
my Q2 slider is starting to break.. i can still get it to work if I press it to the left or right... anyone know if the aftermarket sliders are any better quality?

Was yours bought new as well? I never used mine in a sequence, only to trim samples.
I'm messing with it now and if I set Q1 to realtime and move it, it does nothing but if I move the Q2 it slowly (well say pitch for example) tunes it to the setting of my Q1...
Luckily I have a warranty...
