Copying a sample to another pad (editing problem)

greetings,

I have an mpc since 2 weeks now.

My question is in the subject...I would like to edit a sample i have copied to another pad without affecting the original sample how can it be made possible?

Do i simply have to change the name of the sample?

if u want to do something like change an effects or filter setting just use that same sample

but if u want to do something like reverse it etc, go to trim mode, go to the sample and extract a new sample

it will be the same sample but a copy . use that
