BRAND NEW MPC DIES WITHIN A WEEK OF PURCHASE

i just opened my mpc less than a week ago and it was working all good. built in hard drive with akai 128 mb card and built in hard drive with free JJ os and a bunch of files. and when i to turn it on, i get a boot block ver 1.03 emergency error. this is bull shit. it lasted 5 days. i have taken the ram out and put it back in and nothing...

First off, its not brand new if it came with hard drive and jj os. Also take the hard drive out and see if it turns on, if so make sure you have the most updated version of the jj os then reformat the harddrive and re-install the ram

That is kinda sad. My pawnshop 2500 has been here a year without a single problem. It must be something simple wrong with your upgrades. If you do what was suggested above and it doesn't work - then I would be upset. Did it "act up" with the Akai OS installed?

i dont really know, i installed jj as soon as i took it out of the box
