Say im working on a sequence, and i have used samples loaded from my memory card, how would i go about saving the sequence if i wanted to continue it a later date?

I tried the saving the sequence and when i swtiched the mpc back on and loaded it up, the tracks were not playing, unless it was the ones with the internal sounds in them.

I then tried saving entire memory, which worked but its saved loads of stuff on my memory card also?

Any body give me pointers to avoid this? or is this the only way it can be done?

Kind Regards.

It will help you better - and faster - than anything else.

I started on JJ OS1 as well, using the Beat Making... book to learn. There's a handful of differences between Akai and JJ OS1, for example save/load procedures seem to work more logically with JJ OS1. It's good to have the JJ user manual as well when reading the Beat Making book, to check the differences.

Official JJ manual:

And, even better, the Stan Seetz manual:
