I'm new to this forum, but it seems like I came to the right place...
I've been having some SERIOUSLY bad sh*t going down w/ my 1k lately and I need some advice. I purchased my mpc used and have been able to work around a number of problems- my slider and save pads went out a little while back, but I saved sequences through my loading screen. Also the previous owner must have pulled a sketchy pad replacement, because some pads are more elevated AND SENSITIVE than others (these pads cause my 1k to randomly crash if pressed too hard). My pads that don't seem to have been replaced operate perfectly. Last week, my mode button started glitchin... after being pressed, it'd light up once then send me straight to PLAY ALL (pad 16).
to access anything else, I had to hold mode and the whatever other pad at the same time...figured I would try loading OS 3.12 to see if it'd solve anything (I was using 3.09 at the time). was finally able to access my load screen, and get 3.12 loaded.....I had the same problem the 1st time I turned my 1k back on, and it crashed.
Turned it back on and things seemed to be working normally( besides the slider n save pads),I was able to load programs/sequences on my CF,etc. It crashed again and when I turned it on, my load pad was dead, and it's been dead since. I'm not down w/ soldering to my sensors... What other options do I have to get my pad(s) back? replace all 16? something else?
ANY input/suggestions?!HELP!! I miss my donuts....
