Looping Sample

Ok so I sampled a wavelength on my mpc and I am trying to get the sample to start indefinitely looping until I stop holding the pad. I basically want to do this on 16 pads with the same sine wave at different pitches so I can have a 16 note "synth."

now I dont know what the hell i am doing wrong, I have the mpc1000 book and I followed the whole looping tutorial but I just cannot seem to get a sample to properly loop.

Ain't sure if this will help much, but if u want to make something like that, basically u have to know scales. c c# d d# e f f# g g# a a# b c, keep going up in octaves, you may have to skip 1 octave because there is only 64 pads spots on the mpc to be used, so it be better to skip probably the lowest octave. I mean in terms of tuning in the (mode+ pad 7) program (semi-tones, i think is what its called). every 1 semi-tone is 1 step up + down -, example. c + 1=d, c + .50=c#(black key) c - 1= bflat c - .50=b

o and to get a sample to loop properly, when i use patch phrase, i count out the bars whether it be 2, 4, or even 8 bars, i put it on the pad, play it out fully, if it doesn't loop, i increase of decrease the bpm (this is before using patch phrase). once i find the bpm of the loop, i go back into trim mode, chop samples to my liking, then go into patch phrase, then set the release. your most like gonna get the 1 full loop like you said, go to the name of ur loop in trim, the loop should end in pp (patch phrase), go to edit and it will say extract region 1 and so on, just do that, then you will be able to change the tempo of the sample to you liking. if it becomes gappy, that means you may have to change the tune of the samples, and then pitch it up.
