filtering out a bass sound

I know that for example I have a loop that I sampled but it has drums, strings, and bass. and all I want is the bass. how would I do that on my mpc1000

Touch the Mode button and then go into Program mode by hitting Pad 7. Once in program mode, hit the pad of the sample you want the bass from, then press F2 which is "Filter". It will automatically be set to "Off" but turn tha data dial until it says "Low Pass". Then just turn the Freq number to about 10-25. Just adjust the number till it sounds like you want it. Some samples work out better then others when it comes to filtering out bass but hopefully this helps...peace

yeah...G got it bout right. i usually find it more around 10-15 though...also..make sure u mess with the resonance too
