HI all,

I have an akai mpc1000 and it won't load the screen goes green when you turn it on and thats as far as it goes, it doesn't auto load like it usually did and does not even come up with "128mb installed"
i am running the latest akai mpc firmware.

What happened before it died.

i was tapping in a beat had to go do something came back after an hour or so and the screen was green,

Any help to fix this would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

ouch man that sounds like a cpu issue. best advice i could try to give is that you install the os again but i dont know how you'd do that without the load screen. im pretty sure there's an override somewhere though.

I'm having the same issue, but don't want to shell out the money for a new Assembly PCB Board. What can i do?

check the ram, check for loose/damaged cables, check your lcd contrast...

hey i temporarily fixed it opened it up cleaned it, now it's working........... but this is the second time it has done it, so i'm figuring that there is something loose inside, ive checked the contrast and it works fine i'm just worried that its going to happen again, the first time it happened i was tapping away at a beat and it crashed and did what it was doing or should i say not doing before. akai themselves were no real help as they directed me to service agaents in the usa, which is pretty far away from australia.
