My setup is pretty basic. I have my MPC1000 (W/ JJOS OS1) connected to my Rane mixer which also has my 2 turntables hooked up to it. Then on the side I have my Synth connected via MIDI to the MPC. I've been using the audio record feature in JJOS so I can just loop a scratch over my drum loop and so it's recording from the master output of my mixer. This is a problem though because it's also recording the MPC playing whenever i'm recording so along with the scratch I get the whole song in the background with it. I could just mute the MPC when I record but I need to know when to scratch in the loop. Whats the best setup for recording scratches and samples in the Audio record feature? I know I can hook up my Turntables RCA's directly to the Record ports on the back of the MPC but then I can't hear myself scratching.
Just need some guidance! Appreciate it!
