Recording output of MPC1000 through FX back into itself

Hi,

Apologies if this has been covered. I need to know the best and most straight forward way of recording a sample from the MPC 1000 through an fx unit back into itself. I've tried the stereo out going to the in of the fx and then out of the fx back into the mpc but it doesn't sound great and I get feedback noise. Is there another way as this is something I really need to be able to do.

You will get feedback because you have made a feedback loop in the method you used. Same as Jimi Hendrix.

I beleive you want to sample the MPC output, through an FX and sample this into the MPC at same time, is that right?

If so how can you hear the output if it is plugged into effect? thats what I dont get. But thats not the issue. A mixer is what you need with Aux sends, but It can be done with out mixer.

MPC has 6 sends right and two ins, I suggest if it is stereo then use two other outs for sounds that you want to sample, say 3&4. NOT the main output. Still have you speakers on and plugged into MPC main outputs. This is like a like monitor mix setup - plug FX into the other output 3&4 then into MPC input. Then Sample.
