Hey, im new to the production world and i have just purchased a mpc 1000. At first i have been chopping up samples on it through records and now i want to use fl studios to intergrate these samples on my pc. for some reason im having trouble doing this. no problem, now im ujsing the fpc and edison on fl studios to chop samples, but for some reason im unable to connect my mpc to fl studios the way i want it to be used. there are 16 pads on the fpc and im unable to connect those pads on my mpc. fl studios recognizes my mpc, where i can hit a pad on my mpc and it will play a sound in the sequencer, but im not really using it the way i would expect it to function. what should i do? im even thinking about selling the mpc 1000 for an mpd 26. please help!!

you have to ask yourself which sequencer you want to use?
id say mpc, but thats just me

if you prefer chopping in fl and using its sequencer, then you would most probably be better off with a mpd.

to me, the mp's sequencer is the main focus point of the box

i can do both actually but i would perfer using the mpc's sequencer.
ok, so now what do i need for my studio. at he moment all i have is some monitors with a subwoofer, some studio headphones, fl studios, midi adaptor, and of course my mpc 1000. I want to be able to play my samples directly from my mpc to fl studios to record and make beats. what do i need to do this?

sorry but i cant help there.. try the search function or google n u should be able to find an answer

you have enough equipment..

mp midi out to pc midi in,
mp midi in to pc midi out,
then you have to mess with some settings, not sure
