samples longer than 16 character

im pretty new on this so pls bare wiv me ppls of the mpc world..........

the subject of this topic is my problem and im sure many ppl hav encountered this problem, where by if all samples in a folder is longer than 16 characters...then the mpc 1000 sum how reads it all as the same sample....

Thats messing my head up any help pls???

But i` m kinda sure the 16 character topic was covered dozens of times in the forum. The search function is your friend. Sorry cant`t help more than this, have no 1k

just keep your filenames under 16 characters. easy as that!

^ either that or make sure each file has a unique character within the first 16. The 1k just ignores everything after 16, so files that have the same first 16 characters are treated as the same file.
