DIRECTORY ERROR? Please help this rookie!

I bought an MPC about 2 weeks ago on eBay and already have this DIRECTORY ERROR message popping up when i try to save a sample/program/sequence. From reading other similar posts i know that getting JJ OS and formatting should solve this however when i try to load and install jj os on my mpc1000 it doesnt come up with the usual "do it" message so im unable to install it.

Does anyone know another way to get rid of the bug?

do you try to save to a hdd or compact flash card? maybe your hdd is broken. maybe it is not correctly formatted.

if you can´t hit do it when loading the jjos you are probably trying to load the osxl. when you are running the akai os you have to install the free jjos first.
