I have a red/blue mpc 1000 with dead pads and dying record in-inputs. I bought it used. Should I try and fix this mpc or buy another mpc? If so should i go new or used.
Im skeptical of buying another used mpc... I heard all of the older 1000's pads are shit

I believe the model you have was the one with the defective pads. I don't think it would cost you that much to replace the pad sensors but the Record inputs? That might be a bit pricer. I suggest you figure out how much it would cost you to buy the replacement parts and if you find an mpc cheaper or at the same price of getting it fixed.
