Recording a song thru the main outputs...

I have read that you can record your song by sampling the main outputs on the MPC 1K...
Thats a really cool feature... my question is this... can you do that on a 2000xl??

form what i understand no you cannot but im not sure somebody correct me if im wrong, but to my understanding this is a mpc 1k feature that isnt in the 2000xl.

although at this point the purchase of the mpc 1k is on hold until i find out if they can fix the "ghost sample" problem

I want to play live and if this unit does funny things like that i wont waste my money
