Does anyone know if there is a way to program having the next sequence suddently come in rather then pressing the button live each time in song mode?

The reason i ask is because i use alot of off beat fills and having to do it live would make it pretty impossible to track out.

So, does anyone know a way to do this? I'm on JJOS 1 4.99 tho i doubt itll be different from regular OS.

Thanks in advance!

I've never known the "sudden" button to be programmable in any mpc.

I have MPC-2000XL, and I'm not 100% sure this can be done on MPC-1000, but I'd be surprised if it cannot be done on 1000.

You know, MIDI Footswitches can be assigned to function keys (at least on 2000XL.) so, if you set up the MIDI footswitch to the function key for sudden button....
Oh, wait, the manual says;
MPC-2000XL user manual wrote:While recording the sequence, the Control Change messages assigned for this MIDI
Footswitch Assignment will not be recorded. Similarly, the recorded Control Change
messages in the sequence will be ignored during playback.

So, since you are sequencing from MPC, this is useless. Well, at least you can trigger function button remotely.

Damn, is there any workaround? can the midi for the Function buttons be recorded and triggered from elsewhere maybe?
