hey guys, I've dealt with this issue before..
but I'm in a bit of a rush to get these wav's on the 1000 for a performance on Tuesday.

I've made sure they're all at 44.1khz / 16bit
kept the file names real short

still WRONG FILE

any tips? should I try installing a new OS & see what happens?

cheers

wes

Post up one of the files that's giving you a problem. We can check it out.

Are you having trouble loading them into memory? Or trouble playing them back?

loading into memory. cant get em loaded "WRONG FILE"

here's one of them I'm trying to get on: http://www.zshare.net/audio/986224351978bfa4/

I also can't seem to update to the newest FREE JJOS.
says "END OF FILE" when trying to load the os.bin via CF in LOAD screen
and 'cant locate good os file' when booting with window key held down....

sounds like a CF card problem. is your CF card bigger than 8 GBs? ive found loads of problems with cards larger than that.

i'll try loading this file into my jjos machine and have an answer back shortly.

I bet that's your problem. I would try formatting the card IN the MPC. I've formatted cards on the PC and had them not work in the MPC.

And when I format in the MPC, I always get "this card is ****" errors in Windows 7 and I always just ignore them and do my business. Definitely format in the MPC.

does this mean your solution proved problematic?

i was having this same issue when i received my 1000 from ebay--20 gigs of hard drive samples all screaming "wrong file!!" i went to work backing up the disc on my mac and found that nearly every .wav file had been rendered at 32 bit and 48khz. i wiped the disk on the mac (mac journaled), converted the files to 44.1khz and 16 bit, REformatted the disc once in the MPC and then reloaded the files via usb.

they worked, but it was time consuming.

good luck if you still need it!
