putting samples and kits in a folder

ok i cant find my manual so help please,whut the deal with the folder option?

Not much to it, we just concluded that
- you must keep WAV samples and the PGM for them together in one folder
- avoid Spaces in file names.
- Don't go more than 1 level deep in general (e.g. X:\DopeAssLoops)

this is good advice (as always from mr. s) , but don't *have* to stick to these.

for some stuff I keep all my programs in a seperate folder and samples in another. load the program folder 1st and then the samples.

spaces in file names cause problems *some* of the time... not always, i've kinda noticed that very small samples are usually ok with spaces in names. even so, it's good practice to rename your samples on your PC to remove spaces before you make a program up... it is very annoying when you spend 15 minutes making up a program only to realise 1/2 the samples have spaces in their names.

with the last point this is probably good practice, but you can have as many sub/sub-sub/sub-sub-sub-folders as you like... but you have to select each folder individually to load it's contents. If you select a folder with sub-folders in it and hit "load", it won't load the contents of the sub-folders.

Maybe I should have said " - you must keep WAV samples and the PGM for them together in one folder ... if toy want to load a full Program in one step. "
The rest is just "advice" to follow for an easier life. (The discussion was a few months ago...)
