Sup guys?

No matter what I try I cannot get audio out of the MPC's assignable outputs. I press MODE> MIXER> and go to the second tab to send the audio out of either 12 or 34... The audio plays when its set to ST but once I switch it to either 12 or 34 there is nothing.

I have some cables plugged into the assignable outputs and then into my mixer. I have tried panning the pad I have assigned out hard left and hard right and still nothing. I followed the steps in the manual on page 67 exactly and nothing still. What's the deal?

If that didn't help, try calling Akai Tech Support

Are you currently able to get sound from your analog ST outputs? or are you using digital output?

If you are using the analog outputs, unplug those cables from the mpc. Now, plug those cables into the assignable outputs 1'n'2. Since we KNOW these cables are run correctly, we can isolate the problem.

Go to the mixer, goto [F2] (L/OUT)

Highlight ST on the pad you want to hear through the assignable outputs and change the ST to read 12. Now tapping that pad you should hear the sound coming from the MPC. If you don't then your machine is malfunctioning. If you do hear sound, then the cabling that yu had run before this test are either 1) bad cables or 2) not routed properly

you change values using the silver/grey wheel on the right side of the front panel. The wheel is labeled DATA
