MPC 1000 Pad Problems

OK, so after I installed jjos 3.12 I started noticing this: my pads play once when I press and hold the pad but then plays a second time when I release my finger off of it, its not my technique. I want to disable that so it can play once after I press and release, this mostly affects when I chop up a sample into the pads making it sound like its cutting off. I have tried everything I can think of, any advice would be greatly appreciated, Thanks!
