Help please i'm clueless!!!!!!

I've recently purchased a mpc 1000, and I'm completely clueless of knowing how to navigate it. I don't know if I have the right hook up to my mixer, because when i try to sample music from a cd, it says at the bottom screen, waiting for input signal. I'm going to buy a turntable soon. I'm also clueless off how to upload sounds from the usb. all I can tell you is that my mpc has upgraded ram and its blue lol...I really need help; much respect.

one of the others might be able to help you out here... but i was under the impression the blue MPC couldn't sample ? you need a MPC 500.

hummmmmmmmmmm i dont think it can, i remember reading somewhere that the blue paint disabled the inputs? maybe paint it black and give it a try ?
