Sorry but another newbie with dumb questions lol

Hello guys basically I'll probably have 101 million questions for anyone to answer, any help will be greatly appreciated as I plan to learn this mpc!!! (from scratch)
Basically I have just bought a blue mpc 1000 for £320 has jjos 3.09 and 128mb
Firstly was this a good deal?

Secondly I need a cheap output set up, basic/cheap would be best at the moment… people will probably think I'm mad buying this as a complete noob but I love beats and hopefully meet some local heads to teach me stuff time to time… but I will learn this!!
Is there a way to link normal speakers upto it?

Honestly why ask after you already got it. If you enjoy it and it was worth the money to YOU then it's a good deal.

Save some money and don't go cheap on an interface. Get and interface with a bit more options than what you need right now because you will grow and want to expand later IF, you really love beats and this is a long term love affair.

No, MPC has no amp. Use a home receiver or something that can amplify the mpc. Active monitors have amps in them, "active" means powered amp inside, so they can connect directly to any mpc. Regular home speakers don't have amps in them.

That's like $500 US which to me is high for a blue MPC1k.
I hope at that price it has the new style pads on it.
It's good that it has 3.09 on it but that's still the free JJ OS and you will want to update it to the current free which is 3.12.

Let's hope that you have good tact switches and the new pads.

Thanks for the replys! It seems I'll need a pad upgrade after a few months could get away with not using the couple that's awkward to use for the time being, thanks for that link! I'll look into buying more stuff etc soon as I have it!

I've seen a few sell on eBay for the price I got it there so not too bad…

All the switches seem good, new pads and sensor is just around £100 so it'll be worth getting that ASAP!

I guess prices are different where you are located.
That's somewhere around $665 US (purchase plus adding the pads) which is kinda high for a blue MPC1k.

The good thing is that once you add the new pads and decide how far you want to go with the JJ OS you will have a unit that will allow you to get things done.
