mpc1000 with macs

I just got my mpc1000 and I don't have the manual with me, I was wondering if I can transfer files from it into my laptop with the usb cable. I'm running os 10.3.3 on a powerbook.Are they compatible?

Is it a Os X v10.3 "Panther" I just baught a I bookG4 and it works fine with my mpc.

Plug it into the mpc with a USB cable and it will appear as a disk on your desktop.
