So I finally bought the MPC1000 right...

This thing is amazing! Kept me up all night long making tracks. One question, I don't know if I should upgrade to the Akai memory or go the cheaper route. And is a 1GB flash card too much storage? I plan on using it for future multisamples. Let me know what y'all think. Anywayz, you can welcome me to the fam now!

I installed a Kingston SODIMM module in my MPC1k only 10 minutes ago.
Everything's fine and the unit passed the memory-test (hold "play" while
firing up the MPC) twice in row.

Price paid : 40 Euro in Germany

The same rule goes along with the 1000 as the PC.... "You can never have too much memory of storage, the more the better "

yo trehollywood, the way you come across i thought you would have a maxed out mpc4000.

ha ha. lol. I'm just happy to be using the mpc again! I have a Triton and a Motif ES, but I needed that "feel" you know....like someone said in another post, "all roads lead back to the MPC". But if I were to drop money in that price range, I'd go with a Roland MV8000 than an Akai MPC 4000.
