Alright all
I had a very clear picture in mind for how to customize my 1000. Unfortunately, the "clear" pads are no longer being made.

I asked the guy at MPCstuff and he said there wasn't much demand for them so they stopped production. Which is a damn shame as my idea pretty much revolved around the clear pads.
So, thought I'd chance my arm and see if anyone here has a set that they're not using, and might like to sell me? Slim chance I know, but worth a shot!
