Hey guys. I use my mpc1000 for playing sampled stuff and triggering analog synthesizers via midi. I wondered if it is possible to Load a midi sequence on a pad. so that i can play a on board sample on A1, and lets say on A2 is a midi sequence that goes out to my synth. that would be pretty cool. And if that shouldnt work... can i somehow deactivate the counting in when pressing the sequence play button? so that it reall starts when i press play. And a last question. Is there any possible improve of the tap tempo function? it really is inaccurate. pressing it while listening to a 120 bmp click... it constantly varies from 115 to 123 or something. not cool.

i hope someone of you can help me out! thank you so much!

Yeah akai os will not do the midi to pad, but JJOSXL does this with whats is called pattern to pad. You can make any amount of bars a pattern and then assign to pad or what ever. The count in can be deactivated, see manual for count in settings.
All tap tempos are like that in my experience with a whole lot of different gear i have used over time.

^^I set it to 3 hits as I never hit it 4 times evenly, and do not get as close, but that is me. It is more user error though :smoker:

okay. changing it to 4 made it way better thanks!!!
Would you recommend to get the JJOSXL? Or are there any disadvantages i should be aware of? Maybe i should stick to the origin just for a few time as i got this machine for just a week now and need to learn it like that as a basic? I mean the JJOS doesnt really offer whole instructions. dont they?

There are another few things i would ask you for your help.
1) Does the mpc load all the samples on my memory every time i turn it on? Had a roland 404 before and that wasnt necessary there.
2) Can i save the "full level" function to be constantly on?
3) How do i save the effects? Same thing here. I turn it off and on again and all the effect settings are gone. is there some saving option it didnt see?

thank you!
