Hi so ive been using my mpc 1000 as a sequencer / drum machine and only just got into the sampling now, the reason i want to sample is so that i dont have to cart all my hardware to gigs, so ive sampled a loop down from one of my synths, and assigned it to a pad, set it to loop, but i dont want to have to hit a pad or hold a pad down, i just want the sample to play as if its a sequence, aswell as to loop, and basically drop it in and out with the mute functions

thanks in advance

err you use the sequencer :smoker:
just hit record stop at start of bar hit pad with looped sample, then hit stop to stop recording events. THis is now an event at the start of your sequence. If you want to loop to retrigger in time then you need to match tempo and bar length to sample looped. Patched phrase can help you here. Or chopped up to. So when your looped sequence ends it restarts and restarts the sample to. set it to mono to stop it playing over its self if it is too long or is not quite in time.
Another method i s set play to loop in GPE. Oh hang on i will have to look that one up, as I have not used akai sys in ages so can not remember it might not hae that option . go to gpe and see amp has one shot hold and loop?
