Why do some sounds not load?

I am dragging and dropping a sample folder 'One-Shot- onto the MPC memory card after connecting it to my mac.

The 'One-Shot' folder has a list of other folders. All the other folders have the samples in. All the samples are 2.1 khz. Although the folder (not the samples) shows up on the MPC, they don't load.

..I have a list of other files that load fine. But these ones do not.

I find the dragging dropping and loading of files quite buggy. Is there something i'm not doing right or that i need to bare in mind?

All your samples must be 16bit/44.1khz to load. You have 24bit files which is why they are 2116 kbps.

Get a free batch conversion utility, or you could use iTunes by setting it's import preferences to 16bit/44.1khz, then iTunes converts at the same setting.

Thanks. I'd rather not do it through iTunes as it can get confusing and i don't want to import the sounds through iTunes.

I've just stumbled onto the fact that some of the files from a folder aren't loading. They're all 16/44.1kHz but they still refuse to load in the MPC. The majority of my other samples load fine....

i think i've found out why! Some of the files shared the same name so would not load...
