Hey guys, I'm now a proud owner of an MPC1000 and I was wondering if you guys had some ideas on how I could incorporate some finger drumming and MPC work into my live dj sets.

I'm pretty well versed on the MPC1000 already and I know my way around ableton and have made tons of beats but what I'm really interested in doing is showing the crowd my production skill live you know?

I've never seen anyone mix between MPC and Serato or anything so any ideas would be cool :)

Yeah thats kinda of what I was thinking..

Just practice a few 5-8 minute MPC finger drumming routines and like.. before you launch into your routine make sure the song you are gunna play after the routine is ready to go and make sure you end your routine with a long sound so you can mix the song in time. That would be kind of cool.

But I was thinking it would be cool to record a beat live and have it looping while you mix and scratch an acapella over the top or something? Maybe use track mute to trigger different parts while the pella is going. Or you could stop the beat and make a new one half way through the pella.

Any other ideas like this would be great. I don't really want to be the guy who djs for a while, then finger drums for a while. I want it to happen together.
