MPC1000. Quick question, please help.

Ok.. So I just bought a new MPC which is the 1000 and I DON'T have a manual. My questions are...

1.) How do I delete CERTAIN files or folders off of the memory card WITHOUT deleting and formatting the entire card

2.) How do I make a pad turn another pad off I also have a 2000 Classic and it's easier to find that feature on there but I don't know how to trigger that on the 1000.

3.) Is there a way to connect an external floppy drive to the 1000 so I can load files from my 2000

My dude. I read the delete portion of the manual. The solution given doesn't work for what I'm trying to do which is why I came here for help. That being said, if you're not going to at least try to help or give me a tip you can dismiss your comment before you type them.

Question number 3 was a stand out for me. G i dunno is there a serial or SCSI connection on your MPC ? No ?
OK kiddDNice, a hint here, the MPC1000 is a newer one with USB, so just use a computer to interface between them. No device can be connected to the MPC except by USB, and this needs computer host like most devices do. So if you read the manual you would know this by now anyways. So no you can not use external hardrive, but it has internal drive bay and CF card so that is what you use. Simply drag and drop on your computer from your floppy to the MPCs mounted drive. simple. And crossing is right,. this is the basics, and you are not reading the manual so expect to cop some flack. too right IMHO all good. We are trying to help you learn, to help yourself.
Did you work out that you can delete from save screen? did you work out pad mute? what is the function called in the 2000. must be same function so look at pad mute. Some one is gonna tell you to get JJOS soon, so it might as well be me now. Soon as you feel ok with it, and got your floppy loaded get the JJOS. XL is best but free one is much better than AKAI OS any day of the week/
