Route Midi in to fixed track?

Hi,

I have a 3000 and I'm pretty sure it's not possible or I've never done it, but is it possible to route an mpc 1000 midi in to a fixed track or channel. Like midi in 2 always plays sequencer track 3 for a sequence or always plays channel 16b.
