Does the MPC1k have a way to stop double hitting?
The latest OS lets you adjust the pad sensitivity, but even
this does not completely stop the double hitting problem.

If this is your first MPC then it is technique, after a few days you'll have the touch down pat.

Practice on hitting the pads or take off the poly .

make sure your fingers tips arent uneven when you hit the pads

I did this all the time when I first got my 2KXL... You'll learn how to do it in a few days...

i had same probs.. just need to let ya fingers bounce off the pads.. dont forget double hitting though.. if u can control it it can be a handy technique.. especially with fast hi hats and bouncy kick patterns ;)

Yeah, that's what I was doing--uneven fingertips! :) Sometimes it's a good effect if you can control it. Sometimes I hit with my finger "pads" (the fingerprint spot) with good results!

Still learning this machine... Peace.
