Which is the best?

I got a Apple PowerMac G5. Now I need help finding the best editing program for it. I got my MPC1000 connected to my Mac but I wanna edit the samples from the turntables, cd player, etc. But I'm real picky. Yea i kno i got problems. I heard bout Adobe Audition, Peak, etc. but which one is the best one out there and if yall want... maybe tell me why is the best one... and wut makes it so much better from da other. Let me kno yall... Thanks!!!!

You might want to start comparing the applications for yourself to begin with. Here's some text from Adobe Audition's system requirements page:

hahahaha. thanks for da smart comment. i was jus usin it as an example so people kno wut kinda editing programs i'm talkin bout but das coo. i expected it. i see a lot of people on dis board likes to reply to people to try n make them feel dumb. but its coo... i respect dat. thanks stephen.

im not mac master-B, but a program called soundhack is very cool, i can say no more.

since when is protools a wave editor?

I think both protools and cubase works rather well as wave editors.

Audition used to be Cool Edit that I use a lot, it has great waveform displaying, is any program on the Mac as nice?

Peak seems to be the standard editing program on Mac, I have never used it.

TC Spark seemed promising and there was some free version of it, too, it seems discontinued now.

DSP Quattro is good.. and for something simple Felt tip Sound Studio or Amadaeus.... depends on what u wanna do as far as choppin or effects, etc u wanna go...
