ok major problems (please help)

hey guys

so ive never posted before but i look around this site quite often for tips & tricks & the like
but anyway

today i started up my MPC1000 (blue one, w pad update, 128mb RAM, JJOS 4.99) , loaded on some new drum kits and logic WAVs from my mac OSX onto it, disconnected safely & everything. i go back to turn it on, everything goes fine until i try to load something.

every time i go onto the load function it crashes, sending me back to a blank green screen
now when i turn it on, 9 times out of 10 it just goes to the blank screen. sometimes i can get onto the main page, but if i go onto and load/save function the whole thing crashes again. i was able to load and play a beat at one point but it crashed after about 30 seconds.

also, when i turn it on sometimes if i hit the pads they make the whole screen go black for a moment. the red lights above REC, OVERDUB & PLAY also flicker really inconsistently/weakly as i hit the pads

what do i do? took of the front blue plate but nothing seemed out of place, i took out & put back in the ram but nothing changed
this is incredibly frustrating, i'm looking to incorporate it into a live setup in the very very near future & some of my best beats are on the CF card (which i've taken out, none of the files were corrupted btw.)

any help would be greatly appreciated

Sounds like you needs new MPC.

open it up and check ALL connections. also check your cf reader for bend pins. take out the ram expansion -> is the machine running properly?

Are the wav files in 16bit 44.1khz? also make sure the name of the files are not longer than 16 characters.

I also had some problem with the mpc dying on me from time to time. I re-installed the software and took out the cf-card. Now everything works fine.
