Create Error!...almost every time I try to save.

Okay, so I've had a pretty rocky road my first month with the MPC1000. I just started getting hyped on a few sequences , made like 5 really good programs, yada yada. Yesterday I did "Save Entire Memory" and created a Project Folder, and everything saved. So today I loaded my Project Folder, added a few more sequences tweaked some tones and pitches in a program, I go to save and I get Create Error!

Tried to just save individual re chopped sample no luck, save a sequence no luck, save Entire Memory ditto.

Saving and Loading has got to be my biggest complaint on this thing. All the other stuff is coming to me pretty quickly but here is where I am wasting most of my time...

Any advice on how to get rid of that damn Create Error!?

You're on Akai OS? Create a new folder and save entire memory there. Also recommend you to check the free jjos!

Yep, sounds and awful lot like the well documented Akai disk formatting bug.

You want to actually save your work, never format your drives with the Akai software. Not worth the risk. Use whatever OS you want, but always stick with the JJ os for formatting drives.

'Spose it could also be loose pins on the CF.....
