SOLD OUT!

...well, at least here in germany, there's no mpc 1000 on sale anymore....

all big shops say...sold out....that's it.

same with 5000.....you can get some leftovers here and there, also 2500 and 500 are still on stock....but the 1000 is from now on second hand only......!!!

so let's say goodbye to the good old mpc sampler hardware.....seems those days are over....

i got me the last 1000 here in berlin today....just in case.

We'll keep them going, lots of spares always available, the community here can help with repair advice, and there's plenty of people offering repair services. Most MPC problems are generic components like tact switches or parts already replicated by third parties (pad sensors, screens etc).

I can't imagine any of the standalone MPCs being produced anymore now that Akai is focused on controller+software products. So globally it's just remaining inventory that remains in the hands of retailers. But the used market for the 1000, 2500 and 5000 is pretty strong and better value for money than buying new at this stage of the product lifecycle (decline). Probably just a matter of time before these models are officially discontinued.
