I have been playing around with a MPC 1000 hooked up to my pc via USB and I must say the possiblites are endless.I did a bunch of cyber digging and came across all sort of samples which made there way to my hard drive where I then exported them into recycle for some major choppin.Once in recycle I saved them as wavs and transported them back to my MPC 1000.The 1000 kind of reminds me of my my MPC 60 but with way more features and the filters and resampling...oh my...you can resample and resample until the original sample is unrecognizable at all...I will be getting one of these puppies soon(I am borrowing one now)

You can sample while the sequencer is running, so to record a phrase or a single sound with effects mute the other stuff, go to sample, select internal source and there you are.

you can add an effect to the pad. Run the stereo outs to your record ins. Hit record, and then hit the pad. Then the sound is recorded with the effect. That is a good way to use alot of effects instead of the 2 you normally get.

You can select main out as your sample source in the sample screen and then you dont even have to connect main out to stereo in...it resamples internally

:D
