What internal MPC 1000 features can I use via a MIDI workflo

I'm running my MPC w/ JJOS XL2 into a DAW on my computer.

I know I can record and track sequences, build songs, grid edit, and use the velocity slider, but what else can I do to use the MPC's power via MIDI?

I'm also very thrown off by the OSXL2 interface, so bear with me if I get a little lost with descriptions of features (I read Stan Steez's manual on JJOS 1 & 2, but this one's very different).

EDIT: (If this is better off in MPC Studio Environments, then it can be moved there, though I think it'd be more live here.. but I'm not a rapper)
