Just wanted to say hi and a quick question

What's up everyone. This is my first post so allow me to introduce myself. My name's Drew and I'm from Richmond VA. I produce under the name of Labrats Productions. Me and my partner have been making music for going on 2 years now. I sold my MPC2000 about 2 months ago to get the 1000 and I'm loving it. The flash cards make transferring files a snap. Anywayz, I'm looking to spice up my 1000 a little and I was wondering if anyone knew of anyone who sold replacement pads. I remember hearing that Forat sells some for the 2000 but I didn't see anything mentioning it on their site. Anyone know of any place I might could find some pads for the 1000?

I've had a look inside, and IMHO it's going to be hard to get to the pads to replace them, a major disassembly, take out half the boards...

I wonder if it's possible to paint them? Latex paint might do the job, though it probably wouldn't last long.
But no oil- or solvent-based paints would go near my MPC, I think that might rot the pads and/or my brain...
