2 questions

1.can i change pad sensitivity on the 1000?

2.and why is the default volume set at -12db could i set it 2 0db or would it like distorte? or sumpin? lol

i will answe your questions

yes you can adjust pad sensativity, its located in the "other" section...press mode, then pad10. This is the same page where you will find the master level control and footswitch settings. If PAD isn't one of your options you need to go to the akai website and get the newest OS update.

your second question:

set this as high as possible (0 is max) as you start to ad more sounds...you will eventually start to distort...then lower it.. It is best to keep as hot of a signal as possible.. paying careful not overload and distort.

It's not in the manual.
It was a hidden feature until OS 1.04, and only went "public" three months ago. This isn't the newbie forum, so we can say RTFM, but we can be nice about it, y'know?

the manual talks about the master level attenuation... an come on son, I answered his question. Im not a nice guy, in general..but I'll still share my knowlege...im just ruff round the edges. It was only after I typed the answer (master level) that I realized he could have just spun the data wheel an found out.

a few years back, I was spending allot of time waiting around in a studio that had a 3000. One day, I started messin with it, with noone to tell me better, I guerilla'd thru the mofo till it made sense. The ease of getting a quick answer these days is in a way robbing people of the adventure. Of course ther are tims when you NEED instant answers, but by the time deadlines come into play... ... ah lost my thoughts... anyway sorry for the rudeness...im sure it won't be the last time...and big bags of bud to stereoid for his FAQ I wish I was that nice sometimes.
