MPC Swing Issues!!!

Hi guys, Ive got an MPC 1000 running JJOS 3.15 (free version) and have run into a few problems regarding the set up of the swing.

Basically, I cant seem to apply swing to any drum pattern, whether I apply the swing level before or after recording, it sounds exactly the same! all the hits are exactly in time, which i double checked in Pro Tools to make sure I was right.

The way im accessing it is in the T.C window from the main screen. Is there something wrong in the way im doing it? I have also tried applying swing by selecting pads in the T.C window but that makes no difference either. Please help! i cant keep making swingless beats!

Hi , what swing setting do you apply to your beats?
What kind of beat do you want to program and is the swing even relevant in the beat you want to play?
