Did a factory reset and...

When I sample to a couple of my pads,
It pitches them down??
So I did a factory reset and I thought that
Would fix it and, NOPE!
Any ideas ??pretty annoying .

I assumed that because I posted under 1000 that I wouldn't
Have to mention it , but yep 1000 akai os.
I did a search for pitched samples and nothing that looked
Close to what I had going on, what wording might I use
To further my search??

are you actually SAMPLING [as in recording incoming audio to the MPC] when it pitches down? or are you loading samples from elsewhere that are sounding pitched down in the mpc? if the latter, the files probably aren't 44.1/16bit

I will check tonight but I know when audio sampling ,
It for sure does it , but I will also check the load from internal

it's also possible that the program you're assigning the samples to has pitch setting applied to the pads already... perhaps it's a blank program pitched chromatically or something? i'm not sure... do you have programs that AUTOLOAD on startup? if so it may be the case.

I have not yet had a chance to check out the internal load
To pad assign to see if it also is pitched down.
Any ideas to do a complete wipe of this thing??
Or any other way you might think of?

disable the AUTOLOAD if it's activated and see if you still have the problem.

Create a new blank program - that will have all parameters already reset. Assign your sounds to that and see if the problem persists.

If it doesn't, then as Crossings mentioned, it's probably the autoload program that has the tuning parameters turned down on some pads.

Also another way to rule out the program is to listen to the sound in TRIM.

Factory reset - do you mean holding down ERASE while booting up (just checking...).
