Bass notes being muted by other track notes (AGHH HELP)

Came across a strange behavior. Basically my bass has some sustained notes but a few notes from another track were muting it (well cutting the midi not short). Not cool, any one know why this is happening?

Are these samples that are being triggered, or MIDI events sent to an external MIDI instrument?

Sounds like your polyphony is being used up - i.e. too many voices at a time, so look at ways you can reduce this - e.g. mono not stereo samples, reducing note durations, setting sample programs to MONO playback instead of POLY (if viable), mute groups

how many voices is the mpc? Or could it be the synth?

Turns out its the synth. Easy fix, record in, play sample.
