1k and external mixer

I just got an external mixer for my 1k. I have four cords going from the 4 mix out on the back of the 1k to the mixer. The Problem that im having is the the mixer still isint controlling the volume of each track. Is there something I have to set the 1k or mixer to? Thanks

Well , the four out's are actually two stereo outs or four mono's , so if you use stereo you have to connect output 1 and 2 to 1 stereo track and 3 and 4 to another track on your mixer.
Then you can select The output in the mixer section of the mpc.
Enter the mixer section , press F2 , then you'll see the levels and on top you'll see ST , highlight it with the cursor and select 12 or 34 with the dial to select your output.

That L/Out setting is per pad, so save the Program if you want that setting to stick...

Nothing comes out of the external outs unless you make that change - just plugging the cables in doesn't change anything, you have to send sounds out through it. I use that for FX, e.g. put a dub delay on Snare hits only, etc.
