Record set amount of bars based on tempo

Hello everyone I am getting a mpc 1000 soon. I already have a microsampler and one cool thing about it is when sampling I can set the threshold trigger(I know the mpc can do this) and then set the microsampler to stop recording after a certain amount of bars based on tempo. Do any of the jj os's have this feature? Or does anyone have any tips on calculating something like this manually. It is a necessary because I would like to sample little abstract modular loops from the nord and sometimes it gets kind of hard to determine where exactly the beginning and end points are. Thanks. Absolutely.

JJOS has audio tracks, which you record to with REC+PLAY as you would any normal track. It will automatically stop at the end of the sequence. Then, the cool thing is that it will always play the correct place in the sample, i.e. you can hit play on any bar or anywhere in the sequence and it will start the audio at the correct spot.

The free version has a limited implementation of audio tracks. They're reserved to tracks 61-64, and there aren't that many features more than the basic functionality. But it's there.

JJOS2XL has the full audio track support. It's implemented to function as a normal track, you'd select AUDIO as the track type, instead of the default DRUM type. It routes to the same track mixer and all, and is a lot more usable than the free JJOS's version of audio tracks.

Thank you for the reply, I knew about the audio tracks, I actually owned an mpc 1000 awhile ago, but didn't quite remember the specifics. Can you set the audio tracks to record by threshold level? That is mostly what is important. I'm not playing these loops by hand they are patches in the nord modular so they kind of just do want they want, well with my encouragement. I've only used the free version of the jjos's audio tracks, but the new mpc I bought comes with the upgraded jjos version. Are there any extra tools that I might find helpfull for this kind of thing?

Actually that just might work with out threshold trigger and stuff. If I sync the nord to the mpc will the mpc send start sync messages to the nm? Because if so I can use that signal to restart sequencer on the nord mod. Is the audio cut off problem still an issue at the end of samples. I really hope not.
