roland sh201 synth

i want to record my synth onto my mpc. i cant seem to work it out. i have the midi in on the synth connected to a and the synth midi out connected to 1. i can play the mpc samples on the synth but i wanna record the sound from the synth onto the mpc.

2 1/4" inch audio cables from the synths outputs to the MPC's 1/4" record ins in addition to the MIDI cables and you'll be able to do that fine.

MIDI=Infomation, not SOUND.

ok i got them leads but i can only hear the synth when the 1k is in record mode. is there any way i can hear the synth without it being in record mode?

Input Thru function

The MPC1000 can mix the incoming signal from REC IN or DIGITAL IN with the play back sound from the MPC1000. You can also route the Input Thru signal to the internal Effects and two (2) Filters. You can control the level, pan, the cut off frequency, the resonance, etc of incoming signal with the Q-Link sliders and knobs.

u dont need a mixer at all. ive worked it out.
