how to make fast hats/rolls

is there a way on the mpc besides hitting the pad really fast

to make a fast hat roll or snare roll, or any sample for that matter

hold down the note repeat button and then press the sample you want. It will roll the sample you play in whatever quantization you have that sample set for. So if you want a really fast roll then set the Timing Correct to 1/32 and then roll it for a 32nd note roll.

Or just lower the bpm when recording so you can hit the pads at a lower tempo.

do note repeat so you can do it live then step edit to alter velocities/pitch or whatever else you want to. thats how i do it anyways
