EDIT: new slider and complete OS reinstall seems to have resolved the issue.

The upper q-link on my 1000 started showing what I gather is a classic failure symptom, changing values sluggishly and not stopping when slider motion stops, sometimes changing values when totally at rest. I've taken steps to replace--ordered a new one, now looking for a solder sucker... anyway beside the point.

I only today thought to remove the q-link board altogether, hoping to at least keep them out of the picture until I can repair. Oddly enough though, now that the board is out, some symptoms remain. I still sometimes have problems with scrolling values. Shows up especially in program mode, scrolling between samples while I'm hitting pads. At the main screen, the q-link item on the left by the track number (using jj 2xl, fwiw) randomly switches between q1 and q2. And probably other things I havent noticed yet.

Basically wondering if this is expected behavior with the board removed, or if there's a deeper issue I should be investigating here. Thx

Did a little more experimenting and found that pad 3, when pressed hard enough, is triggering q-link 2, slowly scrolling down in increments of 2 on menus where q2 applies. And this is, again, with no q-link board installed. Weird...help

edit: using old pads, no upgrade
