How To increase RAM

How can increase the available ram/ space i have in the internal memory to load samples

it tells me i only have 6.6 mb??wtf

second part:

if i record a sample and dont save it, then turn off the mpc,
then does that file get deleted automatically ???

ok well i understand that the manual says that the sample will be removed upon the powering off of the unit, but i still dont understand why i only have 6.6mb available as opposed to 16mb

Have you cleared the Internal memory and sounds?
Also the O.S takes up some space.
